Niagara Falls Vacation
Niagara Falls, the majestic and swelling set of massive waterfalls which separates upstate New York and the entrance to Canada in Ontario has long been a destination for many individuals, families, school trips, and scientific expeditions. Formed at the end of the last ice age, Niagara Falls is a vacation destination with vacation packages, tours, and trips from nearby Toronto among many other options. With the recent influx of international tourists, Niagara Falls vacations exceeded 14 million for the year 2003. Perhaps Niagara Falls birth as a tourist destination was in 1953 with the release of the movie “NIAGARA” starring Marilyn Monroe. Other notable things shot at the falls include the 1980 film Superman II. David Copperfield also performed an illusion where he appeared to travel over the falls in 1990.

Even if you’re not interested in the movies or other showmanship from Niagara Falls, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t come see the Falls. Quite the contrary in fact, as there is so much to do see at the Falls; just the Falls themselves are the real treat to a visitor. If you have young kids and think they’ll get bored, fear not as there is an entire entertainment complex set up around the Falls that should have something for every age group.
There are numerous travel agents who have worked the Falls for a number of years and they are certainly still readily available and viable. However, if you’re looking for modern perceptions on what there is to do and ways to take your family around Niagara Falls, you should check online. New dealers are springing up every day for places like Niagara Falls Vacations and they may hold an upper hand. Online retailers are often just disenchanted travel agents who hopped on the online bus at the beginning or maybe more web savvy fans of the Falls who may know a lot more than someone else. In terms of lodging that may be a little rough. To try and dissuade overdevelopment they’ve kept much of that traffic away. So the hotels in the area, including a Niagara Falls Holiday Inn, may be booked when you’re looking to stay. Thankfully for you there are many other inns, bed and breakfasts, motels, and hotels in the surrounding vicinity. |
