Rocky Mountain Vacations
One of the last remaining authentic regions in the United States, the Rocky Mountain region is hugely expansive and offers many different types of vacations for many tastes. Rocky Mountain coach tours are offered but so are cheap ski holidays. Rocky Mountain snow skiing can often get a great holiday deal (I guess the skiers all come to mainland for the holidays) there are also national parts to visit. The Rocky Mountains are a wide swath and stretch more than 3,000 miles from British Columbia, in Canada, to New Mexico, in the United States. So there is plenty to do and many different paths to take. One thing that’s a very popular destination for Rocky Mountain vacations is the Grand Canyon. This huge chasm in Arizona has some of the most breathtaking vistas of any place in the world. Make sure you get information from the state parks administration before making the journey and there’s lots of other cool things to do in the southwest including Hot Springs, dude ranches, hunting, fishing, scenic drives and so much else.

If your Rocky Mountain vacation takes you to Wyoming you must be sure and visit all sorts of great spots. Some of these fabulous destinations include Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole. Some other fun finds include “Frontier Days” in Cheyenne and the hot springs. There is big game hunting, fishing, and so much else to do in America’s Cowboy State!
No Rocky Mountain vacation is complete without a visit to Big Sky Country in Montana. Check out Glacier National Park and the Sun Road before you leave. You can follow the trail of the great explorers Lewis and Clark, see where General Custer had his last stand at Little Big Horn, and be dazzled by the glitter of the Gold Rush! If you’re looking for an expensive vacation at some posh ski resort, the Rocky Mountains certainly have that to offer. But what’s more interesting, rewarding, and affordable might be to steer clear of the main roads and visit some of the natural wonders of the old west found in Rocky Mountain County. |
