Vermont Vacation
Vermont, if one thing, is COLD! For seven months out of the year, the average low temperature is freezing or below. And well it should be, with its entire majestic mountains feature not only some of the most challenging skiing in New England but also dogsled tours, cross country trails, as well as so much more. So if you enjoy the outdoors you’ll love all that Vermont has to offer. If you’re interested in a Vermont vacation, it is advisable that you at least have some interest in the outdoors in wintertime, as the great outdoors is what Vermont prides itself on. Many outdoorsy vacations can be aligned in Vermont. If you’re interest is more passive there are multiple dogsled tours that you can take in and around the interesting sights of the mountains region. If a ski vacation is more your speed there are many ski vacation packages to be had in Vermont. Jay Peak is one of the choice ski areas for Vermont vacationers interested in skiing.

You can also rent a lodge and do the cross country trails if you’re a winter athlete. Though not recommended for the light hearted due to the thin air and heavy workload, for some, getting out on the cross country trails is paradise
If your interest lies more in family fun there are scads of things to do in Vermont with everyone! Travel to Vermont, get yourself a rental property for whatever length of time you’d like and depending on the season, there’s so much to choose from including: a third generation owned stable in Barre, Catamount Arts Center in St. Johnsbury, and the Normal Rockwell Museum of Vermont in Rutland. Vermont is also known for its crafts and there’s no reason your vacation should be without a visit to any of the numerous craft stores or markets. Among some note worthy are hand turned wood bowls in Enosburg Falls, hand stuffed toys in Townshend, an eclectic assortment of shoes in Montpelier. Whether it’s bobsledding, cross country or downhill, shopping, seeing the arts, or just relaxing and taking it all in, there is so much to do and so much to see in the great state of Vermont on your vacation. Lastly, Vermont is the Granite State; so if you get the chance, stop in and say hi to my uncle who still works the quarries to this day in the majestic hills of Vermont. |
